With Nada’s BYOC (bring your own container) policy, customers not only reduce their packaging waste but also waste less food by buying only what they need. This ultimately saves them money (an average of $1500 per family per year), all whilst supporting sustainability-minded suppliers and helping to save our planet from a plastic apocalypse.

We want you to feel inspired, creative, and part of a community. Inspired because you feel good about considering your food choices and knowing where your food comes from. Creative because your pantry, containers, and packing system are all individual choices that allow for artful consideration. And part of a community because we are always connecting and learning from others.

We want you to be 100% happy with your Nada purchases. If for any reason a product does not meet your satisfaction, just bring it back to the store and present your electronic receipt for a full refund or exchange, no questions asked!

We do, however, ask that you consider the potential waste associated with returns and exchanges. Is there something you can do to help alleviate this? Try a new recipe? Give a product you’re not a fan of to a friend or family member? Donate it to a food bank? We think every small action to keep food out of the landfill is a win!

End-of-life policy

We strongly believe that all businesses should be responsible for the materials they put out in the world and as a retailer we have chosen to take responsibility for all that we sell. All of our products have been chosen for containing environmentally preferred materials – almost all of our products are fully compostable after use, with the remaining products sold in returnable or reusable containers. However, if there’s any product or part of a product that you don’t wish to or don’t know how to dispose of (think end-of-life tote bags, bamboo toothbrushes, even your jars!), we are happy for you to bring it back to us and we will dispose of it in the most environmentally friendly way.

Nada is 100% committed to community. For every purchase you make, 1% of proceeds are donated to grassroots non-profit organizations that are supporting a sustainable food system and standing up for our coast. We’re tackling food waste too! With our in-store snack bar, we’re doing our best to close the food loop in house. Did you know that our smoothies, spreads, and soups are full of surplus produce that we’re giving a second life? When we can’t use it up in store, Nada works closely with local food banks and neighbourhood houses to make sure that any surplus food ends up in the hands of those who need it most. We do our absolute best to make sure that all unsellable and edible food stays out of landfill; surplus food that can’t be eaten is composted, then added to our veggie gardens or given to local community gardens.
